DAVID MILLER, a retired Navy Captain, served twenty-two years on four nuclear-powered submarines, the last one as Commanding Officer. Most of these twenty-two years were at sea. He finished his career as Director of the Atlantic Submarine Force Tactical Weapons Certification and Training Team. This team, consisting of the Navy’s best operational tactical weapons Chief Petty Officers and Junior Officer experts, prepared fast attack submarines to operate and certify in at-sea demonstrations using the Navy’s newest sonar, fire control, navigation, and weapons systems. At Northrop Grumman Corporation on Advanced Research and Development Technologies focused on submarine sensors and miniaturized inertial platforms. These systems are used on military platforms and systems under the sea, on the earth’s surface and in outer space. These work experiences are critical to the stories he writes. David’s book, No Peace in Our Time, is the first of four books central to Navy submarine Captain Drake Chandler’s and soon to be introduced Vice President Andrea Herder’s exploits against the Iranian Persian Caliphate, the Chinese in the South China Sea and Vice President Herder’s assumption of the Presidency. David lives in Southport, NC.
