As a young boy, Saxon developed a love for the works of the great Science Fiction masters, such as E.E. ‘Doc’ Smith, Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein, Gordon R. Dickson, and Frank Herbert, which shaped his world view and that of the cosmos. The very first science fiction story he can remember is Tom Corbett and the Space Cadets. At five-years old he bribed his brother, who was in the second grade, to read it to him.Fortunate to have experienced several careers over his lifetime. As a former high school coach and classroom teacher, he enjoyed the challenges of working with young students and watching them grow into adults. As a corporate sales/training professional, he developed sales techniques, training manuals and delivered training classes and field training to professional sales teams. As an owner of a family owned service business in the Tampa Bay area, he learned much from the real-life challenges of customer service and meeting everyday requirements of business ownership. The day-to-day interactions with customers provided material for many of the characters his stories.Soon after retirement in 2009 and with his wife’s encouragement, who often made mention of the over active imagination and storytelling abilities, he sat down to see if I could write a science fiction story. The first book was “Annihilation – Love Conquers All”; before long, three books had made their way on to his laptop. The response from some trusted friends was overwhelming! In April of 2011 those three books were published on Amazon Kindle and, to his very surprised delight, he quickly discovered there were thousands that enjoyed the stories.
